“Dear Sherry McCann,
I
am the coach of the 11U FCA RedHawks and we played all our games over at Shorty
Howell Park this weekend. Unfortunately we lost in the semifinals, but I
must tell you that we had a great time at your tournament. I thought the
organization of the tournament was well planned and your team executed the
event very well. The coach’s packets were complete and answered all the
questions I had going into the tournament. Also, I must tell you that
Mike, the tourney director over at Shorty Howell Park was particularly great
and on top of everything. I did have 1 issue with a plate umpire and Mike
listened to my concern and spoke to the umps and did the best he could do for
me and I was very satisfied with his efforts. In these tournaments there
are always going to be coaches, parents and some umpires that let emotions get
the best of them and say bad things and make wrong decisions and then even some
that just love to complain. I hope that you will not listen to any of the
complainers and just continue to put on a great tourney like you did this
year. My team and families had a wonderful time and we would like
to do your tourney again next year. Thanks for all the work, and again
thanks for a great tourney.”

“I wanted to let you all know what an
awesome experience it was to be part of your tournament. My son Colt plays for
the 11 and under Southwest Phenoms, and even though they lost in the
championship game it was a great game and well run weekend. Colt got hurt in
the last inning of the game and Brian's mom personally brought the bag of ice
he needed for his ankle. I was blown away by her compassion and true dedication
to this tournament. It was so important that she placed such an emphasis on
education during the awards ceremony. Never has another tourney done
anything like that. I work in a Cobb County school system, and so know the
value of the boys learning at an early age that grades are so important in
everything they will do. I admire for the cause you support with this
tournament. I'm a single mom of 4 kids 15 and under, and I rely on people like
you all to help make it possible for my son to play baseball. Thanks again for
all your hard work. We can't wait until next year to try for the championship
again. Have a great summer and Brian should be starting Allstar just by the
number of ballots my kids have sent in. GO Braves!!!”
